Pediatric Dentist Neil Katsura, DDS

Dr. Katsura, a Bay Area native, graduated from Cal in 1980. Go Bears! His interests were in the health field and became passionate about children’s dentistry following a summer internship with Dr. Joseph Wampler. After earning a DDS degree from the University of California San Francisco in 1984, he completed a pediatric and hospital dentistry residency at UCSF and Children’s Hospital Oakland in 1987.

Dr. Katsura is a current member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, The American Board of Pediatric Dentists, and Golden Gate Pedodontic Study Club. He is on the medical staff for hospital dentistry and is on the craniofacial panel at Benioff Children’s Hospital in Oakland. Also, he is associated with several dental organizations – California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Berkeley Dental Society. 

Dr. Katsura held positions as Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry and President of the UCSF Pediatric Dental Alumni Board. He enjoys spending Ohana time with Janie, Kei, Matt, grandson Kenzo, Mika, Mitch and doggie Mochi.  They all love the beach, visiting new places, skiing, golfing and cooking gourmet meals.
