Pediatric Dentist Neil Katsura, DDS

Dr. Katsura, a Bay Area native, graduated from Cal in1980. Go Bears! His interests were in the health field and became passionate about children’s dentistry following a summer internship with Dr. Joseph Wampler. After earning a DDS degree from the University of California San Francisco in 1984, he completed a pediatric and hospital dentistry residency at UCSF and Children’s Hospital Oakland in 1987.

Dr. Katsura is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, California Society of Pediatric Dentistry, and Golden Gate Pedodontic Study Club. He is active on the Craniofacial Panel and is a medical staff attending for hospital dentistry at Children’s Hospital Oakland. Also, he is associated with other dental organizations – California Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Berkeley Dental Society. Currently, he is a board member of UCSF Pediatric Dental Alumni Association. He holds a part time position as Clinical Professor of Pediatric Dentistry at UCSF; and is the director of a pediatric community clinic in Berkeley–Lifelong Dental.

As a family, his wife, Jane, and two daughters, Kaitlin and Kelly, love to travel, ski, golf and cook gourmet meals.
