Outside the office, Dr. Katsura serves as a clinical professor at UCSF School of Dentistry and leads teams on dental outreach trips to rural areas in Guatemala, the Philippines, and Hawaii. Both daughters, Kei and Mika, have participated in several of these trips and are presently practicing pediatric dentists.

He also cherishes spending “Ohana” time with his wife, Janie; his children, Kei and Mika; their spouses, Matt and Mitch; and his grandchildren, Kenzo, Kira, and Kaia.
