Insurance at Aloha Pediatric Dentistry

An Overview:
We accept all dental plans that allow you to choose your own provider. We work with many plans, including Delta, and will happily file claims on your behalf so your insurance can reimburse you directly. In many cases, we can also accept payment from your insurance and you will only be responsible for any remaining balance. If you’d like to know what your plan will cover in advance, we can submit a pre-estimate request for you. Our team is here to make the process as clear and stress-free as possible.

Insurance Information

At Aloha Pediatric Dentistry, our priority is your child’s dental health. We accept all dental plans that allow you to choose your own provider.

Dental coverage works a little differently than medical insurance. Instead of covering everything after you meet a deductible, most dental plans are designed to help with part of the cost of care up to a yearly maximum. That’s why we call it a dental plan rather than full insurance, it’s more like a benefit program that helps offset your child’s dental expense

In-Network Coverage

While we are currently only in-network with The Permanente Medical Group through MetLife, most of our patients utilize a variety of other PPO plans.

All Other Dental Plans that allow your own provider choice:

Aloha Pediatric Dentistry is happy to now accept assignment of benefits from PPO dental plans that allow payment directly to out-of-network providers. This means that when your plan allows it, we can bill your insurance and receive their payment directly; you only need to take care of your remaining balance once we've received reimbursement.

Please note that some plans, including Delta Dental, Anthem, and certain Blue Cross Blue Shield plans; may require payment to be sent directly to the member rather than our office. For these plans, our regular out-of-network payment process will apply. That is, payment will be collected at the time of your child’s appointment. We’ll handle the paperwork in submitting the claim to your dental plan, and they’ll send any reimbursement directly to you.

If you’d like to know your estimated reimbursement ahead of time, we’re happy to send a pre-estimate request to your plan. Responses typically arrive within 1–4 weeks, though some plans reply even sooner.

Have questions about how your plan works with Aloha? Our team is always happy to help!

Our Approach

We want to work with you to help you understand your plan and receive your reimbursement as quickly as possible. If paying at the time of service creates a concern for your family, please contact us, we are here to help.

Please keep in mind that dental insurance is not like medical insurance. Dental plans rarely cover 100% of treatment and should not dictate what care your child receives. Think of dental plans as a coupon; they may reduce your costs at their discretion, but they do not always provide what is best for your child’s health.

We understand this can sometimes feel like a financial burden. That’s why we strive to be transparent and supportive, guiding you through every step of the process.
